When I first started to sew garments, I wanted to keep on a budget so if I ruined the make, I wouldn’t feel too bad about spending all that money. I also wanted something free in order to practice sewing stitches and different methods of seams.

Below is a list of all the patterns I’ve found so far in my sewing journey. If there’s any free pattern that you’re aware of that is not on the list, please let me know! I’d love to continue gathering and making this list longer - so it’s also a good resource for any sewist out there. :)

Two things to note about using these patterns: 1.- patterns are for personal use only (no commercial), and 2.- if posting pictures, don’t forget to tag the pattern maker and # pattern name to show them your beautiful make!

Enjoy and Happy Sewing!

Modern Sewing Patterns

This site is a little questionable. I’ve click through many of the links (men’s specially) and they don’t have a pattern available. But some of the women patterns are available in different sizes (S,M,L).

I haven’t tried any of the patterns, but they have some interesting ones if you like some vintage style sewing. Check out the Vest or the Corset, for example.

It’s Always Autumn

This is one of the first sites I found when I started my sewing journey. I found her via Pinterest and have made a couple of her garments. I love the Slouchy Batwing Top, a simple top with mid-length sleeves - a total everyday basic wear. :)

She only provides 1 size - L, which is totally me, so yay! Her tutorials are very thorough too.
